GRIFFINS, LIONS AND SPHINXES IN THE KNOSSOS AND PYLOS PALACES OF CRETAN-MYCENAEAN CULTURE. ISSAYA IN ELYSIA'S HAND - ATTRIBUTE, SENSE AND VALUE OF THIS SYMBOL IN INDO-EUROPEAN CULTURE

This article examines the use of images of a Griffin, lion and Sphinx in Mycenaean palaces of Knossos and Pylos. Discusses the meaning of these attributes as symbols associated with Apollo and Alicia in the bronze age and the origins of these meanings in the ancient Greek culture. Shown and studied as well one of the attributes Elisei, with whom she often depicted the Serpent of wisdom, and studied the names of the Serpent, and the way to worship him.
