Abstract
This article introduces the creative biography of the famous Russian
landscape painter Andrei Efimovich Martynov (1768—1826) in the context of the evolution of Russian landscape painting in the late XVIII — early XIX century. The artist in many respects continued the tradition of the classical school of Russian landscape painting of the XVIII century.
