Return of forgotten names: creation of Andrei Martynov in the context of the development of Russian landscape painting the late XVIII century — beginning of the XIX century

This article introduces the creative biography of the famous Russian landscape painter Andrei Efimovich Martynov (1768—1826) in the context of the evolution of Russian landscape painting in the late XVIII — early XIX century. The artist in many respects continued the tradition of the classical school of Russian landscape painting of the XVIII century.
