Abstract
The article is devoted to the episode of the beginning the creative career of the famous Italian sculptor Giacomo Manzù. As the title implies the author describes the sculptural decoration of the Maggiore chapel of the Catholic University of St. Heart, which was not only the first commission for Manzù, but also allowed him to express himself in Milan art circles. The article gives a valuable information on the question of the influence of various factors on the stylistic solution of this artworks, created by the young sculptor.
