Abstract
This article analyses two portraits of Nadezhda Dobychina, the first
Russian owner of a gallery of contemporary art, who played a significant role in the life of a circle of artists “World of Art”. The study aims to reveal the specifics of the author's interpretation of the image in the portrait Nadezhda Dobychina by Alexander Golovin (1920) and the graphic portrait by Konstantin Somov (1921) in the context of the post-revolutionary period of both artists' work.
