Abstract
In article are considered works of Boris Smirnov (1903β1986), the
architect, designer, graphic artist, book illustrator, photographer, art critic, teacher and outstanding master of applied art, one of the founders of the Russian school of art glass. On the attitude width, the highest skill of the expert artist and ability to express the feelings and thoughts in numerous autobiographical, scientific and publicistic texts Smirnov is one of the largest representatives of world culture of the XX century.
