Abstract
The present article analyzes the experience of the international cooperation of universities, enterprises and public authorities in creating the competitive national economy. This paper also examines the triple helix model and the prospects for its application in the form of interaction between the major sectors of the economy and education of the Donetsk People's Republic. Besides it analyzes the experience of China, as a leading country in the field of scientific technological development and as the top-creator of science parks and campuses as an environment for innovation. The present work grounds the necessity to increase funding for research and development.
