Abstract
The article deals with ways to increase the service life of an internal combustion engine. The tendency of development of engine building is shown. Advantages of some methods are described, such as regular oil change, filters, proper operation of the fuel supply system. A graph of the viscosity of engine oil versus temperature for ideal and real cases is given.
