Abstract
This study investigates the general characteristics of habits, focusing on the questions such as “what is a habit, how habits are acquired, how they are changed, and how one can give up a habit”. Past studies have mostly focused on the attitudes and habits of individuals on a specific subject, but most of these studies do not provide detailed information about habits. Habits are lifelong attitudes and routines of behavior of a person reflecting what kind of character they have. Habits take about 40 percent of one's daily behavior routines. They are directly related to human behavior and therefore not only educational science but also many other disciplines such as sociology, economics, and psychology deal with habits.
