Effects of 2008 Global Economic Crisis on Financial Ratios of Turkish Banking System

Abstract
2008 crisis is a financial crisis that occurred as a result of financial markets that have investment opportunities to be unable to efficiently canalize their funds to the market. Just like all the developing countries, Turkey has paid the price of opening up to the international economic fields by facing these kind of global crisis. The crisis caused Turkey's real sectors to came to face with important imbalances. Despite that, it can be said that Turkish banking system has not been affected by the crisis in general. In this study, it's been analyzed, 2008 global economic crisis effects on financial ratios of Turkish banking system. As result, it's been seen that effects of the crisis on Turkish banking system's financial ratios are quite low as they are quite low on the banking system's basic indicators.
