Abstract
Background. Disseminated lung lesions are a group of pathological changes in the lungs, which are manifested by X-ray syndrome of dissemination. Aim. To study the main stages of diagnosis and to estimate the results of diagnosis verification of disseminated lung lesions. Material and methods. 81 patients with pulmonary dissemination syndrome were treated at the thoracic surgery department of the Department of Surgery I of the Grodno State Medical University. 56 patients with suspected tuberculosis were examined in the State Institution "RSPC of Pulmonology and Phthisiology". All the patients underwent diagnostic videothoracoscopy followed by pathomorphological and bacteriological examination of the pulmonary tissue. Results. It was established that morphological verification of the diagnosis was made in 100% of cases within 2 - 10 days. The postoperative period was not complicated. Conclusions. Videothoracoscopic diagnostic interventions give the opportunity to obtain enough material for confirming a pathomorphological diagnosis. Complications after videothoracoscopic interventions are not revealed.
