The paper studied the ecological state of the lands of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The dynamics of change in the areas of agricultural land in the Republic of Belarus Abzelilovsky area. The reasons of reduction of agricultural land. On the basis of summarizing the results of years of research show the directions of improvement of land policy. Directions of development of lands protection programs from degradation. Identified challenges that need to be addressed to improve the efficiency of land use.
