Abstract
Building materials play an important role in determining the strength of concrete used for construction. Conventionally steel bars are used for the reinforcement purposes, the main 60 percent of the cost of the construction depends upon the materials and the 60 percent includes the cost for the coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, cement and the reinforcements. New building materials are required to create a change in the way of construction. Fibers are naturally very good at tensile strength; in fact the reinforcement bars that are used in a beam or any other structural member will increase the tensile resisting strength of that particular member. In this project we are determining the compressive, split and flexural strength of the concrete that is obtained by the placing of fiber reinforced concrete and finally comparing it with the conventional type concrete.
