Abstract
The structures that are made of concrete were demolished to produce recycling of aggregate, which is called recycled aggregate concrete (RAC). RAC can be used for land filling and gravel mining. Recycled aggregate is more advantageous as it has lower density, elastic modulus and higher water absorption. Firstly, the experimental study on recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) for the mechanical properties of were studied. This paper investigates failure pattern and shear strength of six simply supported of recycled and natural aggregate beams with same percentage of reinforcement. All beams were constructed with stirrups and 100% recycled aggregate by using different grades i.e.M20, M25, M30. Compressive strength for cubes and split tensile strength for cylinders is acquired. Then the shear strength were compared showing that the natural aggregate beams were considered more adverse to change compared to recycled aggregate beams
