Russian Economy: Sanctions and Drivers

A short analysis of GDP dynamics to study the impact of the sanctions on the growth rate of Russian economy. Singled out are the major areas of economy to alter the vector of the economic development at the time of sanctions. The author came to the conclusion that due to the drivers the Russian economy is capable of successful development despite the imposed sanctions. Moreover, sanctions may stimulate the development of certain branches of economy.
