THE USE OF FINANCIAL TECHNIQUES IN TOURISM BUSINESS: A RESEARCH IN THE DISTRICT OF İZMİR PROVINCE

The aim of this study is to determine the level of use of financial techniques and derivatives in hotel business which are exposed to financial risks such as exchange risk, interest rate risk, commercial product price increase risk. In addition to this main aim, to determine the advantages, disadvantages and opportunities of providing new financial techniques are identified as sub-goals. According to this main aim and sub-goals, quantitative research has been done. The universe of the study is defined as tourism business operating in the districts of İzmir province. Survey technique was used in this research. At the end of the study, it is concluded that tourism business are aware of financial techniques and derivatives. And also they don't follow the improvements of these methods.
