DUZCE SAMPLE IN THE WAY OF THE CITY BRANDING AND BRAND IMAGE

Abstract
The city branding and city image provide development in various fields of thecity, especially in tourism. Branding shapethe image of thecity, and the city image shapesthe identity of the city positively. The main purpose of thisstudy is to measure brand and brand image of thecity of Duzce. For this purpose, a research was conducted on public officers working in local government located in the city center of Duzce, people working in the field of tourismand, local resident. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS and elements that might be trade mark of Düzce with its image have been identified. Result of the study shows that factor ssuch as Duzce'snatural beauty, geographical location, transportation, openness to external investments, clean linessandquietness of the city have been identified the important factors for Duzce branding and city image.
