Abstract
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) is a serious, progressive disease of children and adolescents, of unclear etiology with autoimmune pathogenesis, which disrupts the growth and development of the child. Cardiac pathology in JRA is not uncommon. However, with a pronounced articular syndrome, it recedes into the background and, with untimely diagnosis and treatment, can lead to the development of heart failure.
