Abstract
Upper extremity deep-vein thrombosis (UEDVT) is recently being recognized as a more common and less benign disease than previously reported. Approximately 10 of all cases of deep-vein thrombosis involve the upper extremities. The annual incidence is 0.4 to 1 case per 10,000 people. We report a case of a 55 year old male patient who developed upper extremity deep vein thrombosis due to polycythemia vera.
