Abstract
The Volyn period of life and career of the naturalist, founder of geological and geographical Ukrainian schools Tutkovsky Pavel (1858-1930) have been covered in the article. The article has been focused on the fact that a detailed study of Volyn was the basis for his research. In particular, the active participation of Tutkovsky in the Society of Volyn was highlighted.
