Abstract
Intestinal bleeding is a serious complication of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, in which the flow of blood from the lower parts of the digestive tract occurs. The clinical significance of this disease is connected with the fact that bleeding acts systematically on the whole organism. Acute loss of blood in intestinal bleeding is accompanied by a development of a discrepancy between the reduced mass of circulating blood and the volume of the vascular bed, which leads to a drop in the total peripheral resistance, a decrease in the shock volume of the heart and the minute volume of blood circulation, and a drop in blood pressure.
