Abstract
The attributes inherent in industrial society and neoindustrialization are defined in the article and the analysis of the prospects for the functioning of the coal enterprises of Ukraine in the context of the relevant calls is made. It was concluded that the coal enterprises of Ukraine only partially correspond to the attributes of industrialization and neoindustrialization and to some extent do not meet all the requirements for the transition to a neo-industrial development.
