Abstract

Education is currently undergoing rapid changes. For that we need a media learning mathematics fun and interesting for students. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia in learning mathematics with a contextual approach in terms of understanding students concepts on material relations and functions. The research was conducted at SMPN 2 Tegowanu. The research method used is ADDIE. (1) Analysis, needs analysis shows students need learning media. (2) Design, the product produced in this research is Lectora, this software is an authoring tool that can be easily used by any general teacher to create interactive learning media content. (3) Development, media developed then validated by 81% media experts and 81% material experts. 4) Implementation, student responses in class VIII A achievement level 90.2% are in very good category. (5) Evaluation of data in this study consists of preliminary data. The test of product effectiveness is shown from the experimental class study result is more effective than the control class using the right t test, with the analysis using t test obtained tcount> ttable is 6.761526> 2.04523, meaning interactive multimedia with contextual approach in terms of understanding the concept of effective students in the learning process.
