Abstract

The development of higher education in Ukraine and its mastering on the European level is impossible without increased attention to teaching of foreign languages. In the system of higher education the main goal of teaching foreign languages is marked by the communicative competence. Acquisition of communicative competence of students is focused on the formation of such a level of foreign language, which meets their professional needs, the realization of personal and business contacts and further self-education. Combining traditional intensive teaching methods and modern interactive methods is essential for the effective learning of foreign languages in high school. A huge role in the training and conduct of interactive sessions is played by methodical training of a teacher. In order the class to pass with maximum efficiency a teacher is to possess these techniques, to have the skills to use computer and Internet technology, to skillfully deal with modern technology (computers, interactive whiteboard, etc.). We cannot imagine classes in a foreign language without interactive learning methods such as work in pairs, carousel, pending proposals, brainstorming, problem analysis, situation mimicking starring, role play, simulation, discussion etc. These and some other methods are used in teaching German to social work students of the first-third course in Uzhgorod National University. One of the simplest examples of interactive methods of teaching the German language is to study the topics "Acquaitance", "Introducing business partners", "Employment" and others. While working in groups, students, for example, acquire the ability to present themselves, while respecting all the rules of business ethics. They listen to dialogues situation (representatives of companies, organizations, social services and their clients). It should be noted that all interactive methods and techniques develop communication skills, help to establish emotional contact between students, to buid teamwork, to listen to their friends, to establish closer contact between students and teacher. Analysis of the results of such business games suggests that they help to enhance the professional interest of students, encourage them to acquire foreign language skills of business communication provided thorough advance training and proper organization of the game.
