Abstract

The article analyzes the correlative relationship of demographic processes and social stability. The terminological study of demographic processes has been conducted, the factors influencing have been isolated. Demographic processes is a key regulator of mechanisms and economic, social and intellectual potential of humanity. Demographic processes are a set of demographic events that take place with the general population (births, deaths, migration of population). Three groups of factors influence on the demographic processes: global change acrossing the world; the medium that define the model of demographic particular region or country; short-term, due to changes in recent years. The features of the flow of basic demographic processes (aging, fertility, migration) and their impact on society have been disclosed. Population aging is characterized by irreversible. The peculiarity of Ukrainian society is the fact that in general a relatively stable share of elderly population decline occurs very rapidly due to high mortality. The correlation between natural and social factors of fertility change in parallel with the development of the whole society, its social institutions, including the institution of marriage and family. The most crucial reason for the change rate in Ukraine is the transition from having many small families to single family models; changing age patterns of fertility and aging of childbearing age; changes in the structure of births by order of birth, growth in the share of illegitimate births. Among the consequences of reducing the birth rate than economic and demographic, moral should also be noted, including the development of selfishness in children and young people, reducing communication skills and social responsibility of people; and ethical implications that detect the threat formation of consumer attitudes to life. Ukraine has practically exhausted the potential of population growth, which inevitably appears on the socio-economic stability in the country: the reduction of the working population, which is a manufacturer of material resources, increase spending on social and medical support for the elderly. These demographic changes leading to a steady population decline in Ukraine on economic social imbalances. International migration is an important phenomenon of the modern world, which is experiencing an era of globalization. It can be one of the key factors of development, international migration is one of the most effective and rapid means of reducing poverty, despite some negative consequences. The necessity of further studies to prevent the negative impact of demographic processes on social development has been proved.
