GENDER STEREOTYPES AS A SOCIAL PROBLEM OF MODERN WOMEN

In Ukraine the issue of status of women in a society is given too much attention, but despite the best efforts of public authorities, the situation is still not completely solved. The place and role of women in society is one of the eternal questions. Historically, women have far fewer opportunities than men for the manifestation of their abilities. The reason for this is the attitude of society towards women. A woman can be realized as a person only motherhood and family life, and as for professional growth and social and political activities are considered secondary. This attitude toward women is a violation of their rights. Men and women in the developing socialization focus on their sexual identity. Sexual identification begins in early childhood and reinforced throughout life. The relevance of this issue is certainly growing. This is because the woman is still subject to manipulation: for it decide its future life artificially separating important for her family and professional roles. Some research addresses the problems of female employment, the other – the importance of motherhood, etc. The purpose of the article is to consider the specifics of women`s social problems. And also work out some recommendations how to remove them in modern society. The conclusion. Depreciation of women`s role in society, careless attitude towards her professional and family role, deepen old “women” problems. And bring to life new problems. For example, women more often suffer from various emotional disorders, including depression and anxiety disorders. Health care professionals claim this situation as a result of women's sensibility (because of traditional women roles) and special stressors of modern life. The equality of women's and men's rights has to be approved by the government. Public opinion is also significant in the situation of women's discrimination by gender. So we need to change that traditional gender stereotypes by all means.
