Abstract

The article discusses the basics of project activities and means of it formation for medical students, analyzes the features of formation of self-educational competence through project activities It describes the mechanism of realization of project technology, isolates the main stages of creation and implementation of the project. The essence, typology, requirements for projects are described, especially the organization of project activities during the natural sciences studying. The feasibility of using in the educational process of project method as a way of achieving a didactic purpose is determined. The main scientific approaches to determining the content of the "project", "project activity" are shown with focusing attention on the fact that there is no single interpretation of this term in the modern pedagogics. Project technology involves a problem that requires integrated knowledge and research finding its solution. The project activity should be practical, theoretical, cognitive significance. The main component of this method is the independence of the student during the whole research. Analysis of teaching practice and theoretical studies allowed us to identify project activities as a form of teacher competence in the mastery of which is the formation of professionally important qualities of professional formation of its core competencies. However, it should be noted that the issue of formation of self-competence of students of medical colleges did not find appropriate theoretical justification. The project is a set of specific actions and documents aimed to create a real object, subject, creation of various theoretical product. We have identified a sequence and structure of students and of teaching staff to implement the project study for the project (choice of model study forming the goals and tasks), stage of search (collecting information, generating ideas), process stages (immediate execution, structuring), final phase (presentation of study results). Thus, the usage of project method enables the teacher to create communicative situations, encourage students to work independently (individual, in pair, in the group), select the projects topics due to their interest or possibilities.
