Abstract

This article presents materials of the open lecture of Professor Michael Wong at the IV All-Russian Conference of Students and Young Scientists with International Participation "Psychology and Medicine: Ways of Searching for Optimal Interaction" November 22-24, 2017, Ryazan. The material contains an explanation of the effect of elements of general anesthesia and structures of implicit and explicit memory, as well as the results of M. Wong's own experiments on the effect of the state of general anesthesia on the psyche of patients. The author's concept of the level structure of consciousness is described in detail. Slides in Russian and translation of the main content of the lecture allowed all listeners to immerse themselves in a topic close to each clinical psychologist, surgeon and anesthesiologist, as well as everyone who has experience of immersion in general anesthesia for surgical intervention. Following the results of the lecture, Professor Wong was asked a lot of questions, which indicates the relevance of the studies, interest in interdisciplinary research projects and the practice of clinical psychology abroad.
