Abstract

This article reveals the relevance of the work aimed at studying the characteristics of the personal potential of students of a medical college with limited health opportunities. Statistical data are given that allow one to trace the problem of increasing the number of disabled people among young people. In addition, the issue of disability and its impact on the attitudes, values, ideals of the person facing this problem is touched upon. Important in this case is the issue of adaptation of persons with disabilities (HIA) to the new conditions and the requirements that are imposed on them by society. This need arises in connection with a significant rebuilding of the patient's personality, who often has to deal with a stereotyped attitude toward himself. The article emphasizes the importance of researching the personal potential of people with disabilities in the student environment, as well as problems in adaptation to the society, they also have to face adaptation to the educational environment of the university where they study. The importance of the issue of vocational education for persons with disabilities is disclosed and, in this connection, necessary and appropriate approaches in this direction are personal and activity-oriented. The work describes categories of people who have the opportunity to study in medical universities such as: blind, visually impaired, deaf and hard of hearing, deaf-blind, persons with severe speech disorders and persons with impaired musculoskeletal system. The presented article describes the possibilities of using the data obtained in the course of research on the peculiarities of the personal potential of students of a medical college with limited health opportunities. In the future, it seems possible to work to expand the opportunities for personal and professional growth, increase the level of motivation, create a positive image of the future, in addition, the development of training programs for teachers working with students with HIA of higher educational institutions is becoming especially topical. The article contains a description of the goals and tasks with the help of which the study of the characteristics of the personal potential will be implemented, the methodological base of the research is presented.
