TO THE QUESTION OF FORMATION OF FUTURE TOURISM MANAGERS’ PROFESSIONAL MATURITY

Abstract

The author proved the relevance of professional maturity formation of future tourism managers in higher education institutions due to the objective needs of society in searching of professionally competent specialists in the field of tourism and the unique requirements to their activity. The essence of professional maturity of future tourism managers as acmeological category that reflects a set of personal and professional qualities are highlighted, having been guaranteed high performance of professional activity consistently; indicators formation of professional maturity of future tourism managers are described (readiness for professional activity implementation, self-improvement, self-education and self-development, the ability to pursue their professional opportunities creatively). Professionally designed forms and methods of students organization (mass, group, individual) that contribute to the formation of professional maturity of future tourism managers are determined. It is proved that the professional maturity of future tourism managers in terms of higher education institutions involves: the ability to self-assessment competencies performing, sustainable needs in enriching of systematic professional experience; ability to deep self-forming and systematic knowledge, for forms and methods updating of qualities formation of creative professional activities requirements; sustained motivation to participate in various forms of training activities (both institutional and non-institutional); the desire for self-development and self-education; the ability to choose forms, methods, tools, techniques and basic directions of professional self-improvement; ability to find targets to be achieved in personal professional development; ability to examine and analyze the tourism industry independently etc. Perspectives of further scientific studies are recommended in researching the semantic content of professional training courses and its practice integration.
