DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE UNITED STATES IN THE LAST CENTURY

The article deals with analysis of the development of high school of the USA in the last century. It is important to stress that its development was influenced by some events. It is important to be noted as well, that the system of private educational institutions came into being earlier then state system and that it is decentralized. Every state had its own state colleges, universities and that they were financed from different sources, considerable part of which were grants of private personalities, graduating students and state-sponsors. During last century quantity of students was very fluctuated, but the tendency of their quantity was observed. Accounting increasing of students' quantity high educational institutions had to correct their plans, accounting economical, technical changes in the country and changes in political situation their programs were went through again as well. Ukraine has to study досвід of foreign countries to use it here, but after adapting to its needs.
