EXAMINING INTERNET FACILITY IN UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES: EMPIRICAL OBSERVATIONS AND THE PERCEPTIONS OF USERS

The present research paper deals with the enquiry of the functioning of internet services in the university libraries. The objective is to study the perception of the users in regard to the infrastructural arrangements and functional delivery of the internet services being provided by the libraries of the universities. The study has been conducted through empirical-observational approach. Related and relevant information has been acquired from the selected respondents by applying the sample survey technique. The study divulges that though, university libraries have established the basic infrastructure to provide the internet services to their users, but still these libraries require improving the levels of their infrastructure and professional training to enhance their reliance among their users as more dependable service providers of internet facilities
