CHRONOTOPE OF GATE IN THE CASSANDRA STORY BY CHRISTA WOLF

In this article we analyze the creation of gate chronotope in the story about the Trojan princess Cassandra. For this purpose the relationship between the temporary and spatial structures involved in construction of this artistic concept is considered. In this paper we argue that the chronotope of gate has dichotomous nature, which allows considering it as the poetic element used by the writer to compose the complex narrative structure of narration.
