Abstract
In the article, the competence academic achievements of the primary school students were characterized; the legislative documents for the primary school in the context of the competence academic studying were analyzed. The provided material is illustrated by the examples of the standards development for the educational area "Mathematics". It is appropriate for the purpose that is the formation of the pupils' mathematical competence and personal background that characterizes the ability, to use the experience of the mathematical activity in the process of the solution of the educative and cognitive as well as practically-oriented problems.
