Abstract
The factors that make Kaluga region attractive for foreign investment are investigated in our article. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the index of industrial production in the Kaluga region and the highlighting of the fastest growing industries in the industrial sector. The following groups of factors have been separated and analyzed: factors contributing to increased investment flows into the regional production and constraints on the investment attractiveness of the Kaluga region. The statistics which prove the creating of favorable investment climate is characterized. Accent is done also at the improvement of legislation in the region, contributing the preferences for investors.
