Abstract
Sustainable tourism presents a balance between economic efficiency, social welfare and ecological equilibrium in a given destination. The necessary institutional framework, including transparency, corporate social responsibility, adaptive management and marketing of conservation is based on the capability approach and social choice. Key importance to the sustainable tourism and the necessary institutional framework has the open argumentative public debate.
