Abstract
Flat slabs are a widely adopted solution now a day for buildings, because of their economic and functional advantages. Two different floor post-tensioning floor systems have been considered for the present study, they are flat slab and flat slab with drop panel. Four spans have been considered for the equivalent frame system to evaluate structural parameter like concrete grade M35 to M50. Two different span to depth ratio used for flat plate slab and flat slab with drop panel. Dead load due to self weight of the structure, live load and post- tensioned load are considered for the analysis. Grade of concrete directly influencing to the deflection &Non PT steel(conventional steel) of flat plate. With changing grade of concrete, effect of punching shear ratio, factored moment at mid span and PT quantity are also studied. Design was conducted by using the computer analysis program ADAPT-PT. The use of ADAPT-PT is recommended because of its friendly use and quick calculation capabilities. Use of the ACI Code equivalent frame method of analysis was performed using said software.
