Abstract
All human rights enforced by the European Convention on Human Rights, the Constitution of the Republic of Poland as well as the Act on Elderly People have been concentrated on activities bearing a particularly significant practical meaning: the right to social security, health-care, the right prohibiting torture as well as cruel and degrading treatment, the right to respect for private and family life. The aforementioned rights have been introduced to the benefit of elderly people in Poland. However, their application depends on a number of factors.
