Abstract
In this article the authors consider the issues related to the application of different modern information and communication technologies and telecommunication devices in the organization of educational process in high school. The article presents the data and interpretation of findings of the inquiry performed by the authors in order to define the necessity of mastering technology skills by academic teaching staff. Some features and indicators of modern information and communication technology skill level of educational process participants are also specified in the article. In conclusion the authors give grounds to objective necessity for teachers to master technology skills so that they can use modern information and communication technologies when pursuing their educational activities.
