Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of improving the quality of education through developing in students the ability to fully perceive learning material as well as understand, memorize and process the information obtained at the lesson, that is, multimodal perception which, in its turn, facilitates the formation of universal learning activities ensuring a successful learning experience. The author studied primary modalities of students, specified the methods of multimodal perception development and presented the practical results of her work. The target of the research were fifth-grade and first-grade pupils. The author is convinced that the prerequisites for the development and formation of universal learning activities need to be laid down from the first year of primary school using multimodal teaching methods.
