Abstract
The research is dedicated to studying functional features of psychological defence mechanisms in teenage females, which can lead to ineffective social adaptation and psychoactive substance use. Comparative analysis of psychological defence structure of teenage females with addictive behaviour dependent on psychoactive substances has been performed. Compelling differences in the character of their defensive behaviour have been found. Despite intense interest to unconscious stress coping mechanisms, previously there has been no dedicated study of their functional features in addiction and dependence behaviours.
