Abstract
Nowadays the Russian language appears to be the target for informational and psychological aggression. On the territory of the Russian Federation, the main threats to Russian are uncontrolled spread of American and other borrowings, jargonization and spreading of criminal lexis in the Russian speech and the general decrease of level of literacy and population's speech culture. According to experts and scientists, the abovementioned processes lead to destruction of national unity, spiritual culture and country's intellectual potential and, consequently, are a threat to Russian linguistic identity, having impact on all structure levels (verbal and semantic, cognitive and pragmatic). Linguistic identity system is open. Therefore, it falls under bigger or smaller risk consistently, however this helps building successful relations with the environment. Such lost form of working with texts of the Russian classic literature, as reading in family can be a potential for the Russian linguistic identity's safety. The article reveals various approaches to work with books within family, which is an adequate condition to form value-oriented attitude to the norms of Russian, providing linguistic identity's safety.
