Abstract
The system of national traditions and customs is one of the efficient ways of upbringing, as it transfers the norms of behaviour and cultural and moral values from one generation to another. The lack of systematic learning of their national cultural traditions leads to the lack of interest in them at children. The article reveals the opportunities of Khanty national holiday for moral education of pupils. The organization and content of school holiday “Crow Day” are presented.
