Abstract
This paper examines the substantive form of verb ending in -oov in modern Turkic languages and their dialects. Currently a number of issues regarding the phonetic, morpholog- ical – semantic and functional features of substantive forms of the verb in the Turkic lan- guages have not received exhaustive coverage. The paper analyzes structural-semantic, syn- tactic features and etymology experiences of the substantive form of the verb ending in -oov in Turkic languages. In this paper the similar and distinctive features, as well as phonetic vari- ants of the form ending in -oov have been also considered. It should be noted that a systematic comparative-historical study of the grammatical elements of the Turkic languages takes on special significance in Turkology. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the linguistic nature and the specific features of the substantive form of the verb ending in -oov in the Turkic lan- guages and to determine its functional-semantic potential and intercategorial relations in the system of inflection
