ASSESSMENT OF THE TECHNICAL CONDITION AND CAPACITY SPILLWAYS ON THE NYZHNIA TERSA RIVER

Theoretical calculations of the throughput capacity of spillway structures working in the cascade of artificial water-dorms on example of the river Nyzhnia Tersa are done. It is established that some spillways are unable to ensure water passage the maximum flow of from rain (flash) floods. On the basis of the data obtained, the total volume of water was determined in the breakthrough of dams and the amount of population in the zone of potential danger was determined.
