Overview of some methods of protection against corrosion

Pitting (pitting) corrosion (PC) refers to the local types of corrosion of metals, in the course of which the fracture is concentrated at individual points on the surface. The material effect of corrosion (loss of mass) is almost entirely due to the dissolution of metal at these points. With the merging of several points and their relatively small depth, ulcer corrosion is observed.
