Abstract
In the 21st century, we observe a tendency of diabetes mellitus widespread and its “rejuvenation”. WHO epidemiologists foresee a further growth of the morbidity. In this article we provide an analysis of statistical data of the morbidity in diabetes mellitus; as the result, we had a consequence that the widespread of diabetes mellitus in Ukraine increased twice in the last 10 years. Also, we pay attention to prognosis and run of cardiovascular diseases worsen by the presence of diabetes mellitus.
While considering the severity of the consequences of diabetes mellitus, as well as economical costs for its treatment, this problem becomes a first-line priority for national systems of healthcare in the whole world. In this regard, prevention in the early stages of carbohydrate metabolism disorders becomes important during last years.
