Abstract
This paper presents the mathematical model of a Υ-connected generator & Υ-connected load that describes the process for onset of self-excitation phenomenon and performance analysis of a 3- φ, Υ- connected isolated asynchronous generator operating under balanced or unbalanced conditions. These mathematical models are derived using symmetrical component theory and the sequence equivalent circuits of the IAG. The feasibility & validity of the proposed mathematical models have been verified on a 4.5 kW induction machine in the laborartory.
