DISCRIMINATING STRESSFUL CONSTRUCTION WORKERS IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Abstract
Stress has a damaging effect on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, productivity turnover, and absenteeism. On an individual level, stress is associated with engineer's burnout, mental health issues, substance abuse, and diminished family functioning. Thus, stress is an important issue to the construction industry, in terms of both organizational effectiveness and occupational health. Questionnaire is consisting based on the participant to show interest towards problems. The questionnaires contain three part prepared relating to the causes and its impact over the construction workers .The respondents responses to the survey were collected and analyzed, using the SPSS (statistical package for social science) software. The discriminant analysis was carried out based on the Respondents information, their responses to the critical factors causing stress in life. The results is identify based on the canonical discriminate functions, the group variables such as age, gender, education, designation etc. was analyze to highlight the number of construction workers feels stressed or unstressed after a hectic work daily.
