Abstract
This paper aims to offer conceptual framework that can be used by academics in analyzing the types of organizational culture in family firms. Based on the literature review, this article provides steps to analyze organizational culture within family enterprises with an ethnographic approach. After analyzing the artifacts, values, and basic assumptions that exist within the family enterprises, academics can identify the type of culture in the family firms: paternalistic, laisez-faire, participative, or professional culture.
