Abstract
Practical teaching in Pathology at UG level includes exercises of Clinical Pathology like urine examination , and Hematology which includes, Hemoglobin, PCV and ESR estimations. Preparation of a blood smear and their staining by one of the Romanowsky stains followed by a Differential Leukocyte Count (DLC) is an essential part of practical teaching. Total RBC, WBC and Platelet counting on Neubauer's Chamber is although covered in Physiology teaching during their first Professional curriculum , but it is revised in the tutorial as well as practical classes along with their clinical significance of variation in results.
